Yue Kuo is Dow Professor of Chemical Engineering with joint appointment in Materials Sciences and Electrical Engineering at Texas A&M University. Previously, he worked in industry, i.e., IBM T. J. Watson Research Center and Silicon Valley. He received BS in National Taiwan University and Dr. Eng. Sci. from Columbia University. His honors include the Gordon E.  Moore Medal, Fellow of IEEE, ECS, and AVS, as well as many other awards. He was the first chemical engineer receiving some of the semiconductor honors. His 2-volume TFT book is widely used in universities and industry. Prof. Kuo is the current President of the ECS.
